Identification of the problem

In our city has confirmed the presence of Leptospira in some ditches in which, in addition, lives a large number of rats.

Carrier rats enter our courtyards and live with our pets, infecting them with bacteria.  More exposed are still abandoned animals, who frequent the ditches entering in direct contact with the urine of the rats or with the bacteria.

If our pets get the bacteria, they will become sick and they will become carriers of Leptospira for the rest of their lives.
If they survive, they should receive antibiotics periodically.

The owners of these pets are completely exposed to the bacteria, since there are no human vaccines.
